Responsible for all bookkeeping functions including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable/reconciliation, budget tracking and reporting. The position also provides support in project tracking and administrative tasks such as answering the phones, collecting mail and running office errands. We are a fast-paced office – strong organizational and time management skills are a must.
Responsibilities
Daily bookkeeping (accounts payable/receivable, taxes, etc.).
Preparing financial reports for meetings.
Support other administrative functions of the business (filing, coordinating client meetings, etc.).
Work with external CPA.
Generate and process client invoices and other accounting documents.
File and index documents into an electronic document management system.
Sub-consultant invoice review and processing.
Data entry and clean up within the accounting system
Weekly timesheet process
Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
Extensive experience in all aspects of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Prior experience with an engineering, architectural, or related field is a plus.
Required to have knowledge of QuickBooks Pro
Experience tracking and maintaining spreadsheets, budgets, POs, etc.
Strong communication and writing skills and experience dealing with clients.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook & Excel.
Maintain personnel files and conduct new employee orientation.
Human resources / coordinate with company’s 401k providers.
Manage paperwork for health, professional, liability insurance.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
